CHARLOTTE, N.C. – April 28, 2009 – For the third consecutive year, Jay M. Robinson Middle School has won first place at the North Carolina Science Olympiad tournament. The 17-member team, coached by eighth-grade science teachers Helen Harmon and Janet McSween and language-arts teacher Amanda Eikenberry, beat out 43 other middle schools for the top spot at the competition held at North Carolina State University on April 25.
