ALCOHOL & DRUG LESSONS LEARNED WHILE FUN FOR ALL !!!
The Quail Hollow Middle School student body tackled and cheered on the Red Ribbon Week Anti-Drug Pep Rally and Football Game on October 22, 2009.

The students, teachers, counselors and administrative employees clapped loudly after each Pep Rally performance including the opening, rhythmic sounds of the Quail Hollow Band, as well as the unique, percussion performance of the Men in Black, both directed by Ms. Tobin.

The Dance Team was colorful and in sync as Mrs. Boulware had instructed and the Cheerleaders were highly energized as they lined-up with their pom-poms and enthusiastically greeted each student and guest in the newly dedicated Quail Hollow gymnasium. It was obvious that all of the students were proud of their school and of their Red Ribbon art work, including slogans, pledges and directives that could be found on the walls of the gymnasium as well as in the hallways on posters, banners and door decor.

With a growing sense of pride and spirit, students looked forward to a challenging, anti-drug football game with Randolph Middle School which would be played in honor of Red Ribbon Week. Without further ado, Mr. Quail Hollow ( Football Coach, Early ) was introduced and after a few supportive words about the Red Ribbon Celebration and the importance of not using alcohol or drugs, he recognized each of the proud first and second year football players. As might be expected, these players were mentally and physically prepared to win their upcoming football game in order to cap off the week-long events during the celebration of Red Ribbon Week.

Still to come will be the judging of the Red Ribbon Scrapbook which is a decorative display of photos taken during the week's events. Quail Hollow's Art Teacher, Ms. Cash; Yearbook Advisor & Teacher, Ms. Perron, Counselors, Miss Yolanda Adams and Mrs. Kennedy; and several members of the Parent Teacher Student Organization ( PTSA ), are to be praised and acknowledged for their hard work and dedication to this annual project...win or not ! And, none of the above would have ever taken place without Quail Hollow's knowledgeable, concerned and caring Principal, Mrs. Sullivan who was more than happy to provide hours of planning, communicating and coordinating an exciting Red Ribbon Celebration for all !!
